HEPHAESTUS is the interactive digital platform for training in ultrasound assessment of hemophilic arthropathy. Its goal is to provide physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals with a comprehensive and standardized resource for learning how to identify and classify joint damage in hemophilic patients using a standardized severity classification system.

This interactive ultrasound atlas represents an innovative tool for advancing training and diagnostic standardization in hemophilia care. A pilot group of hematologists, physiotherapists, and radiologists will evaluate the platform for usability and educational impact. Wider dissemination of this resource may facilitate broader adoption of joint POCUS, reduce inter-operator variability, and improve early detection and longitudinal monitoring of joint disease. Ultimately, this initiative lays the groundwork for international collaboration to harmonize imaging practices and enhance outcomes for people living with hemophilia.
